Make Apogee´s Digital Expertise
Work for You
For full details, please contact Greg Laney in our OEM department,
oem@apogeedigital.com
We can supply modified versions of our existing product line, rebadged
or with custom front panels etc, or we can develop an entirely new
product to meet your requirements. Examples include the version of
the AD-8000 made for Steinberg´s Nuendo and the SADiE
version of the AD-8000. We can also design products or sub-assemblies
for you to manufacture under license: examples include the clocking
and interfacing cards designed for Mackie. Technology:
Some of our technology is available to other companies through licensing
agreements. This applies particularly to our digital processes such
as UV22HR, which is available for incorporation into hardware and
software products, computer operating systems and Internet audio codecs.
In addition, we have licensed hardware designs, such as the Ultra-Low-Jitter
Clock, to other companies for incorporation into their products.
Modules: Primarily
in the case of hardware-related technology developments, we have been
able to supply hardware sub-assemblies in quantity for direct inclusion
in a company´s products. Examples include the original Apogee
filters, and the Ultra-Low-Jitter Clock, which is used by a number
of companies, including Digidesign, Amek and Mackie.
UV22HR: Improving Audio
UV22HR is Apogee´s unique technology for reducing the
word-length of a high-resolution digital signal to 16 bits for the
Internet and CD mastering, or 20-bit for DVD-Video. UV22 has been
the industry standard for CD mastering since 1993: now the latest
version, UV22HR ("High Resolution") is also being employed
to produce dramatically improved Internet and computer audio without
increasing file sizes or data rates. Fixed or floating point implementation.
Licensees include Yamaha, Steinberg, Soundscape and SADiE.
For information on UV22HR, check the following pages. More detailed
information is available on signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

The
Apogee Ultra-Low-Jitter Clock The
Apogee Ultra-Low-Jitter Clock
is designed to minimize jitter - a major cause of quality loss in
digital conversion systems - and was originally designed as part of
Apogee´s converter development program. Several generations
later, this powerful clocking tool allows a digital audio system to
lock toa wide range of sources and remove jitter from the incoming
clock, thereby "cleaning up" the audio and audibly improving
quality. Licensees include Digidesign, Amek and Mackie.
Apogee Product Design
Apogee
has designed products for a number of pro-audio manufacturers, including
Mackie, where the ADAT/TDIF Interface Card (left) and Clock Card for
the d8b digital console. In these cases, the products werer designed
by Apogee but are manufactured by Mackie. As an alternative, we can
design and manufacture a product for you, either from scratch or based
on one of our existing designs - or example the Steinberg Nuendo
and SADiE versions of the AD-8000. |
