Description:

Coaxial 75 Ohm S/PDIF connection using Apogee’s acclaimed Wyde Eye cable for 2 channels of digital I/O and clock signals. S/PDIF supports 2 channels of digital audio at sample rates up to 192kHz.

 

Application:

Any digital device connection that supports S/PDIF, DOLBY AC-3 and DTS on a 75 ohm coaxial connection.

Description:

Provides 75 ohm Word Clock input/output connection using Apogee’s acclaimed Wyde Eye cable in the BNC-BNC configuration. This cable provides the word clock signal to synchronize to and from other units that provide word clock, such as the Apogee Big Ben.

Description:

ANALOG: Balanced 110 Ohm Wyde Eye AD connection for 1 channel of balanced analog audio input. Wyde Eye is designed for digital audio and is excellent for analog signals, which are lower bandwidth offering very low loss, even with low mic level signals.

AES: Dual shielded and balanced 110 Ohm AES/EBU* using Apogee’s acclaimed Wyde-Eye cable for connection of 2 channels of digital I/O and clock signals

 

Application:

Any digital device connection that supports AES/EBU*. Any analog device connection using balanced XLR connectors.

Apogee Breakout Cables

A number of specialized breakout and interface cables are available from Apogee. These are typically designed for our converter products in which multiway connectors are used to get a large number of inputs or outputs into a single connector. At the other end of the cable, usually 1m in length, will be standard connectors, such as XLRs.

PC32-IFC

 

Description:

The PC32-IFC is a custom interface cable for connecting Apogee's Symphony 64 and Symphony Mobile cards to Symphony I/O, X-Series and Rosetta Series converters. It is also used to interface between Pro Tools HD Core Cards and Symphony I/O.

 

The Symphony PCI Card is a digital computer interface that is based on the PCI-Express architecture for Apple computers. Apogee's PC32-IFC allows up to 32 channels of digital I/O.

 

Application:

Provides connection between Symphony I/O, X-Series and Rosetta Series converters and Symphony PCI Cards. They also provide connection between Pro Tools HD Core Cards and Symphony I/O.

 

Specs:

  • Supports sample rates up to 192k***
  • Supports up to 32 channels of 24-bit audio input and output
  • Cable available in sizes .5M, 3M, 5M, 10M, and 30M
    (.5M for daisy-chaining units, longer lengths for connecting to the Symphony card)

*** 30 M is not recommended for sample rates above 96k.
