If you are using the ‘Avid Duet for Pro Tools’ (the all-black version that comes bundled with Pro Tools software), it will not show up in the ‘Apogee Maestro’ application. You will need to install the ‘Pro Tools I/O Control’ app from Avid’s website. Once you download and install this app, you should launch the ‘Pro Tools Duet Firmware Updater’ (found in Applications>Utilities>’Pro Tools Duet Firmware Updater’) and confirm that the firmware is up to date and then launch the ‘Pro Tools I/O Control’ app from your Applications folder.
The Apogee Maestro 2 software is not on the Apogee website as a separate file. Instead, it is installed with the software package for your Apogee interface.
For example, if you download and install the Duet for iPad & Mac software, Maestro 2 will automatically be installed and placed in your Applications folder.
This is true for any Apogee interface software. You can find the appropriate software for your Apogee interface by going to the support section of our website:
