All Duet 2 users should update to OS X 10.7.4 Lion to resolve Duet 2 recognition issues.
Duet 2 users should update to this firmware and software version for the latest Apogee Maestro enhancements.
For those who installed the Interim Duet 2 Software Installer, this release re-establishes operation at 176.4-192kHz sample rate.
Connect the Duet 2 directly to your Macʼs USB Port. Do NOT use a USB hub.
Once the device has been properly recognized by your Mac, double-click the Duet Installer and follow on-screen instructions. Please note: If the “purple A” doesnʼt disappear, restart your computer until it does. The update wonʼt work properly unless the Duet2 has booted up and is recognized by the computer.
You will be required to restart your computer once the installation is complete.
After the update is complete and the Mac has re-started, verify that the Duet 2ʻs firmware has been correctly updated:
Open “System Profiler” by clicking the Apple menu on the top left side of your desktop
Hold the “option” button on your keyboard and select “System Information”...
In the left column of the window that opens, click on “USB”
On the right side column click on “Duet” and the version displayed below should be 1.30. If the
version indicated isnʼt 1.30, run the updater again.
• Speaker outputs may be switched between a +4 dBu and -10dBV reference standard. The output meters now display the level of hardware outputs.
