announced today that its portable D/A converter, Mini-DAC is now available
worldwide through authorized dealers, and distributors. Mini-DAC completely
compliments the Apogee Mini-Series that began with its award winning,
A/D companion Mini-Me, and offers legendary Apogee digital to analog conversion
for reference monitoring in professional recording studios, in the field,
and as an upgrade to premium home and car audio systems.
The Mini-DAC truly helps to define a new generation of Apogee. Not only
does the Mini-DAC offer the renowned quality of Apogee as a portable solution
but, it provides options and features that are essential to audio pros
and DIY artists alike with the latest innovations in high-definition digital
audio. Digital-thru-mode for example gives Mini-DAC users the exciting
option of connecting virtually any 2-channel digital device (Rosetta AD,
Trak2, Mini-Me) to their computer/DAW via Mini-DAC’s optional USB.
If you are a Mac OS 10 user the Mini-DAC offers true plug and play setup
with no driver required and an ultra low latency environment. Just plug
it in and go. And for those seeking a professional portable studio solution
the Mini-DAC and the Mini-Me is a mighty combo that makes tracking anywhere
a reality.
Other features available with Mini-DAC are analog output level control,
up to 192kHz sampling rates and multiple input and output options such
as AES, optical, and S/PDIF.
