Apogee Introduces CODA, Audio Finishing Module for Rosetta 200
NAB Convention, Las Vegas, NV, April 15, 2004 – Apogee
Electronics announced today that its new “Audio Finishing Module”,
“CODA”, will be available in the Rosetta 200, a 2-channel,
AD/DA version of the popular Rosetta 800. CODA is a unique trio of audio
tools designed to maintain the integrity of hi-definition recording while
normalizing and maximizing levels.
“The technology for music production has expanded so much recently
and music professionals really need tools to take advantage of the benefits
of higher resolution audio”, says Betty Bennett, Co-founder and
CEO of Apogee. “Our CODA Audio Finishing Module addresses these
challenges specifically.” CODA accomplishes this in three ways.
First, CODA optimizes incoming audio levels with the Aptomizer, an intelligent
analog level normalizer. Second, CODA provides new generation Sample Rate
Conversion (SRC) that allows up or down sampling with a minimal loss of
sound quality. Finally, CODA incorporates Apogee’s industry standard
UV22HR to reduce hi-resolution audio to 16-bit for CD mastering or Internet
use. CODA, combined with the premium conversion and clocking in the Rosetta
200 offers an impressive end-to-end solution for music production.
Apogee’s, CODA technology is unique to the Rosetta 200 and will
be available in June 2004 when the Rosetta 200 is released.
Rosetta 200 at a glance :
The Apotimizer: increases and normalizes incoming audio levels without
clipping, or adding noise and distortion. Features learn mode for determining
ideal level setting
Sample Rate Conversion: flexible and precise up or down sampling
that minimizes loss of quality.
UV22HR: industry standard word length reduction of hi-resolution
digital files down to 16-bit for CD mastering or internet distribution.
