Director of Sales

Responsibilities for the Director of Sales position include:

Forecasting and Planning

• Establish annual and monthly sales objectives in coordination with Apogee’s business plan.
• Provide annual sales projections with quarterly updates, revisions and modifications to the plan as necessary
• Establish target market and customer strategies

Managing the Department

• In charge of all sales activities and sales personnel
• Manage day-to-day operation of the sales department with a focus on Apogee’s strategic goals
• Establish performance goals for all sales staff and monitor performance on a continual basis
• Oversee hiring and training of sales personnel

Contribute to marketing, tech- support and operations efforts

• Interface with Marketing Director, giving input on marketing-communication, videos, collateral material which can effectively assist sales in their goal.
• Coordinate sales operations with tech support, manufacturing and accounting

Dealer and Partner Relations

• Develop and maintain business relations with Apogee customers and partners
• Seek out and target new customers and sales opportunities, initiate action plans to secure new business

Domestic and International Travel

• Travel for industry trade shows, events, and tours
• Plan to visit key dealers and distributors in all territories
• Work with Apogee sales staff in the field

Essential Requirements:

• 7 or more years of related sales experience in the Pro-Audio Music Industry
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational/time management skills and multi-tasking abilities.
• Strong leadership, negotiation and staff management skills

Engineering Project Manager

We are a consumer electronics design and manufacturing firm located in the Los Angeles area; we are searching for an experienced Engineering Project Manager prioritize design events, schedule and execute development projects from concept to manufacturing. This person would be responsible for overseeing schedules for five - seven engineers.

Projects will involve electronics and embedded systems design. This person would product manage design cycles from concept to production and post customer ship. This position will require full responsibility for project success and delivery to schedule.

The Engineering Project Manager is responsible for driving the delivery of hardware and software with an industry leading audio equipment company.

The position requires the ability to work effectively with others, manage and clearly communicate multiple project status, project schedules, and potential risks to the schedule.

You will help identify and prioritize project issues and lead the resolution of these issues within the team. To be effective in this role, previous experience with managing a combination of hardware and software in commercial products is essential.

Essential Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years proven experience managing engineering teams.
• Strong problem solving skills. Must be able to identify obstacles to forward progress and navigate around them.
• Must have great communication (written and verbal), interpersonal skills and team player attitude.
• Customer oriented, responsive, commercially aware. - Ability to understand project risks and manage them effectively
• Proven track record of delivering high quality commercial products on time.
• Experience with rapid development cycles.

Preferred Requirements:

PCB Layout Design Engineer

Projects will involve electronics and embedded systems design. This person will capture schematics and design layouts for; front panel PCB's; power supply and sub circuit PCB's; Main PCB's

This position will require full responsibility and management of PCB layout-design from schematic capture; review; contract manufacture; finally assembly and support post "first customer ship" design change events. Meeting all assigned schedule metrics.

• Work with engineering group capturing schematics and layout of PCB
• Create designs for multi-layer (8, 10 or higher) high-speed analog and digital boards

Required Experience and Skills:

Embedded Systems Engineer

Job Description:

Apogee Electronics is looking for a talented EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEER to work on an exciting new range of audio hardware and interface products.

You will be a member of a small multi-disciplinary team, responsible for developing digital hardware and software for embedded designs. Typical designs include an FPGA with hard or soft processors, RAM, FLASH, A/D and D/A converters, voltage regulators, glue and interface logic.

You will perform the following aspects of embedded system design: Requirements analysis, specification, architecture, hardware schematics, VHDL and software coding, test bench design, verification, synthesis and FPGA place and route.

Working in a small project team, you will be working closely with other hardware and software developers.
You will have a hands-on roll in product integration and debugging.
You must be a results-oriented problem-solver who requires minimal supervision.

Essential Requirements:

• BSEE or above
• 5 + years experience in Hardware and FPGA design and verification using VHDL
• C/C++ and RTOS experience
• Knowledge of high speed digital design principals.
• Methodical and disciplined in software development practices

Senior Software Engineer

Job Description:

Apogee seeks a SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER to work on product development. You must be a flexible software programmer with the ability to write both GUI applications or embedded firmware. You must be able to design new object orientated code as well as dive into existing code. You must have a good knowledge of both Mac OS X and Windows systems.

Essential Requirements:

• BSEE or equivalent
• Advanced knowledge of C/C++.
